Greg has worked with executives and senior teams in the United Kingdom, US and Australia over a period of 30 years advising businesses in systems effectiveness, operational efficiency, organisational structuring, risk management, business start-ups and culture transformation. Greg brings a unique blend of applied business theory, practical business expertise and human psychology having held senior strategic leadership positions in a global professional services organisation, on company boards, working as an executive coach and in practice as a clinical psychotherapist. Greg’s approach centres on being a thinking partner with his clients in bringing together strategic business outcomes with deep leader development. At the heart of this dialogue is presence and authenticity as a powerful place from which to be with the challenges that organisational life brings.
Greg completed his degree in Commerce whilst working at PricewaterhouseCoopers (”PwC”). There, he specialised in assurance services to multi-national listed corporations, government instrumentalities and SMEs before moving into practice in the areas of insolvency, acquisitions, listings and mergers, forensic accounting and risk management. Greg lived and worked in London where his clients operated in rail, international shipping, newspaper distribution, telecommunications and banking. Upon returning to Australia, he became Director responsible for Organisational Risk Management and Office Managing Partner for PwC for the Hunter Region. From 2008-2013, Greg was the licensee for The Leadership Circle in the Asia Pacific and since then has continued in the role of Associate providing coaching and advisory support. Since 2008, Greg has coached and facilitated leaders and their teams through personal and cultural change across a wide range on industries including Health, Banking, Superannuation, Mining, Legal, NFP, FMCG and Aged Care. Greg held the position of Chair, Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee for a Federal Government corporation for a period of eight years. As a life long musician, Greg, when not working in the corporate sector, works with special needs individuals and groups in schools, hospitals and facilities as a therapist using music to support physical, cognitive and emotional development through music.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Newcastle), an Advanced Diploma Gestalt Psychotherapy, a Masters of Creative Music Therapy (University of Western Sydney), is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, is certified in the full Leadership Circle suite and is an Executive coach through the Australian Institute of Executive Coaching.
Greg’s other interests include recreational flying as a private pilot and the Japanese art of Aikido and Zen. Greg lives at the foothills of the Blue Mountains with his partner and has a daughter and a grand-daughter.
